5e Conversion: Fallout Death Tambo

Image
5e Conversion: Fallout Death Tambo If you've been following me on Instagram (see below), you know that I have an addiction to Fallout in general and to Fallout 76 specifically. If you've been reading this blog, you know that I like mash-ups, converting characters, items, and concepts from other intellectual properties and franchises into 5th Edition  Dungeons and Dragon s characters, items, and concepts. I've been having fun with the Avatar fauna conversions . I've even done a Grinch conversion . I'm not sure why it took me this long to figure out I could do some conversions from Fallout as well. As a very cool sidebar, someone did do a 5e ruleset for Fallout called Fifth Edition Fallout . I even did a couple of actual-play live streams with Scorched Dice where I played a slightly neurotic Mr. Handy. The game is quite fun. You most definitely must give it a try. But I digress. My point is that I am now going to be doing a few conversions for Fallout into Dun...

Skyfell Geography: Burati

Image
Skyfell Geography: Burati I’ve been  blogging the sessions for my Dungeons and Dragons homebrew campaign that I call Skyfell. I've also written a lot of background information for the setting. There is a brief description that provides a taste of the setting's general ideas and mood. I wrote up this for new players to the campaign. There are posts providing social, cultural, geographic, and political information for the various continents in the setting, including Akima Prime , > Doraku , Piruna Fields , and Teskos . Two more posts ( Guilds of Highwater and Organizations of Highwater ) go into more detail about the city of Highwater on Doraku. This installment is about the continent of Burati. I hope you enjoy it. Burati Major and Burati Minor   Overview Burati is a binary continent south of Doraku in the Trina Skies. It's largest landform, Burati Major, is littered with the remnants of a pre-Cataclysm civilization known as the Burati Authorit...

Skyfell Geography: Teskos

Skyfell Geograpphy: Teskos I’ve posted a handful of blogs regarding my homebrew campaign setting that I call Skyfell. The first was a  general description  that I wrote up for new players so that they could get a taste for its mood and general feel. I’ve also been  blogging the sessions  for the campaign I’m currently running in that setting. It is very much a work in progress. I wanted to share a little more about the geography in part to provide some more background for my players to latch onto but also to make more clear the gaps in the setting so that any of my players can explore and add to it.  Previous geography installments have detailed Akima Prime ,  Doraku , and Piruna Fields . (There are also posts for the guilds of Highwater  and the organizations of Highwater .) This installment is about Teskos and the Teskos Chain. I hope you enjoy it. Teskos and the Teskos Chain Overview Teskos is a system of landmasses in the Lenitu Skies with...

A Creative Retrospective

Image
A Creative Retrospective A very many years ago, I was hyper focused on fiction writing. I wrote a lot of short stories and shopped them around. A few were published, which was always exciting. Life came along, though, and I had to focus my time on other efforts. If you've read about  my life as a gamer , you know that it was only a couple of years ago that I got back into role-playing games. (If you've braved my Off the Dice interview on Time2Tabletop , you know even more about me.) Lately, I've been thinking it's time to get back into writing as well. To that end, I recently did a little ego-surfing to see if I could track down my older works. I was pleased to see Bewildering Stories , a site that had shown me a lot of love and encouragement back in the day, is still alive and publishing. My bio for that site is still active. It lists all my short stories published there. Other markets that published my work no longer exist, such as  Planet Magazine (an online mag...

Skyfell Geography: Piruna Fields

Skyfell Geography: Piruna Fields I’ve posted a handful of blogs regarding my homebrew campaign setting I call Skyfell. Previous installments have details both Akima Prime and Doraku . This installment is about Piruna Fields. I hope you enjoy it. Piruna Fields Overview The Piruna Fields is an extensive collection of islands and other geological objects spread across nearly three thousand miles of the Known Skies in a three-armed spiral. Common knowledge holds this mostly untouche...
