Sentient Ooze Player Character Ever since it occurred to me that Yaphit (from the television show The Orville) is basically an ooze, I've been fascinated with the notion of playing an ooze character. (Well, specifically an ooze artificer.)  Yaphit Source: The Orville Of course, whenever I've introduced this idea to anyone DM who is willing to listen, the very first question is always, "How does that work?" Some of the technical details might still need working out, but that is what this blog was always meant to be...a place to write about and try new ideas for the Dungeons and Dragons RPG. So, here we go! Sentient Ooze Ooze. The word conjures images of black puddings, ochre jellies, and gelatinous cubes prowling dungeons and caverns...

5e Avatar : Flying Bison While marathoning Avatar: The Last Airbender  with my daughter, it occurred to me that the show has a wide variety of animals that would be interesting and fun to include in a Dungeons and Dragons campaign. So, I decided to write up some 5e stat blocks for a few of these intriguing creations. Flying Bison Source: Avatar: The Last Airbender The following is the stat block for the flying bison. The Avatar fandom wiki has a great description of this creature, so please take a look at that for more information about this creature. If there's interest in this, I'll create more creatures from Avatar , including the flying lemur and other favorite critters. I'll also take a dive into the more unusual ones.
