5e Conversion: Fallout Nuka-Cola

5e Conversion: Fallout's Nuka-Cola As there appears to be no end to my obsession with the Appalachia wasteland, I of course, must provide another conversion for  Fallout 76  into the  Dungeons and Dragons  setting. This time around, I want to tackle that most refreshing of novelty beverages, Nuka-Cola.  In case you don't know, the  Fallout  setting has a ubiquitous soda called Nuka-Cola that comes in convenient, rocket-shaped bottles. The standard variety is simply a refreshing way to hydrate and restore yourself while out and about braving the dangers of the wasteland. There are, however, several other specialty flavors that provide a wide range of other benefits. As with the chems, I feel that in a Dungeons and Dragons setting, Nuka-Cola would be a kind of potion, perhaps developed by some enterprising gnome as a way to differentiate his or her magical offerings from all the other potions that clutter up the adventuring market. I mean, w...

5e Conversion: Fallout Chems

5e Conversion: Fallout Chems My obsession with the Appalachia wasteland continues unabated. So, of course, I must provide another conversion for Fallout into the  Dungeons and Dragons  setting (in contrast to creating a Fallout game using the 5e ruleset ). Think of them like potions. Unlike potions, however, each one has side effects and each one has a chance for your character to become addicted to it. The addiction itself causes its own side affects that can be temporarily relieved by taking another dose of the chem. The addiction can also be cured, thankfully, with a shot of something called Addictol. For a faithful conversion, I feel like there are two ways to go. The most obvious would be to treat the chems as potions. Generally, magical potions don't have any addiction ...

5e Conversion: Fallout Death Tambo

5e Conversion: Fallout Death Tambo If you've been following me on Instagram (see below), you know that I have an addiction to Fallout in general and to Fallout 76 specifically. If you've been reading this blog, you know that I like mash-ups, converting characters, items, and concepts from other intellectual properties and franchises into 5th Edition  Dungeons and Dragon s characters, items, and concepts. I've been having fun with the Avatar fauna conversions . I've even done a Grinch conversion . I'm not sure why it took me this long to figure out I could do some conversions from Fallout as well. As a very cool sidebar, someone did do a 5e ruleset for Fallout called Fifth Edition Fallout . I even did a couple of actual-play live streams with Scorched Dice where I played a slightly neurotic Mr. Handy. The game is quite fun. You most definitely must give it a try. But I digress. My point is that I am now going to be doing a few conversions for Fallout into Dun...
